The process involves checking the client’s Name, Residential address and Date of Birth against both public and private data sources.

The process involves checking the client’s Name, Residential address and Date of Birth against both public and private data sources.

Common data sources include but are not limited to:

  • Driving licence and Passport

  • Birth registers

  • Electoral rolls

  • Property ownership records

  • Telephone and utility

  • Credit reports

If the EV system is able to find multiple matches against various data sources, then the EV system will be able to reliably authenticate the identity of the individual. However, if the client cannot be reliably identified, then FP Markets will request for KYC documents to manually verify the identity of the client.

Documents such as passport, national identity card or driver license can be provided as proof of identity. Documents such as a utility bill or bank statement within the last 6 months showing the client’s full name and current address can be provided as proof of residence.
