MetaQuotes, the developer of the MetaTrader 4 and 5 platforms, has announced a new update that will impact 

all ThinkMarkets clients using these platforms. To maintain uninterrupted access to your live and demo accounts,

 it is essential that your terminal is updated to the latest build.

Effective from 1 July 2025:

MT4: Builds below 1440 will no longer be supported

MT5: Builds below 4755 will no longer be supported

If you are using an outdated terminal, you will be unable to log in from this date onward.

How to update your MetaTrader platform

1. Enable automatic updates

MT4 and MT5 usually check for updates automatically when launched. If prompted, accept and enable automatic 

updates to ensure your platform stays current.

2. Manually update your terminal

If your platform does not update automatically, follow these steps:

• Uninstall your existing MT4 or MT5 terminal.

• Log in to ThinkPortal, click Platforms on the left menu, and download the latest version.

• Follow the installation instructions provided.
